I work in oils, watercolor, acrylic, pastel and graphite, plus mixed media. I use a specific media for a specific feel or subject. I often use pastel, for instance, on black sandpaper, for dream images; oils for more realistic subject matter….but really, it’s just the feeling at the time that determines the media.
From 2009 – 2012 I studied art in NYC: animal anatomy with Steven Quinn, the curator of the North American Mammals Hall at the American Museum of Natural History; drawing and portraiture with Yuka Imata, and land and city scape with Eric March.
I am an independent contract artist for Chewy, Inc., a pet supply company, and send them animal companion portraits for their clients on a weekly basis. I also take commissions for animal companion or power animal portraiture. Please have a look at the rest of my work under this heading’s drop-down menu, and contact me if you are interested in commissioning a work.
Many of my paintings start with dreams, a rich source of inner exploration. I hope you enjoy my work. It is all a healing process. You’ll find the pieces under this heading’s drop-down list, or click here for access to the art pages:
